What we do with your information

What we collect

When you send the estimate form we receive your name, the phone number or email address you give us, the community your project is in, the service you asked about, what you wrote about the project, and which page of this site you sent it from. There is no field on the form we do not need in order to quote your job.

This site sets no cookies and carries no advertising trackers.

We do count page views, so we can see which pages people read before they get in touch. The counter records the address of the page and nothing that identifies you, it sets no cookie, and it does not follow you to any other site.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to prepare an estimate, and to carry out the work if you hire us. We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not send marketing to people who asked us for a quote.

Who else sees it

Your request reaches us as an email. It passes through our email provider and our website host, who process it on our behalf and for no purpose of their own. Beyond that, only the people at UPGREAT Home Renovations working on your project see it.

How long we keep it

If your request becomes a project, we keep the file for as long as our workmanship warranty runs, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records of the work.

To be confirmed by UPGREAT: how long we keep an estimate request that does not turn into a project. This is a gap, not a policy — a plausible-looking number here would be worse than an obvious hole.

Seeing it, correcting it, deleting it

Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Ask by email or by phone — both are at the foot of this page.

We answer within thirty days, as PIPEDA requires.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
